My crewel embroidery is inspired by the cultural and natural heritage of western Slovakia, the vine‑growing region just outside my hometown of Bratislava. I drew from the landscape that shaped me — the vineyards of the lowlands and the rare species found in the Slovak mountains. The Slovak Pasque Flower (Pulsatilla subslavica) and the Tatra Chamois, both endangered and closely tied to high‑altitude ecosystems, became central motifs.

Together, these elements reflect the locality, flora and fauna that shaped my visual and cultural environment.
